A walk through

come with me on an Autumn walk through Friedrichshain in the centre of Berlin.

Friedrichshain was once in centre of East Berlin.

During the time of the Third Reich it was known as Horst Wessel Stadt.

this are of Berlin is popular withe families and new comers to Berlin.. and so it's unfortunately, no longer an affordable, working class area.. as it once was.

Between the houses you will see little parks which seem to take up the same ground area as a house might.. this is because a house probably stood here and was bombed during the second world war but was never rebuilt during the time of the Berlin Wall.. when Friedrichshain lay in the heart of Berlin... capital of the DDR (East Germany).
