Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act, 2013 (POSH) is a comprehensive legislation to provide for safe, secure and enabling environment to every woman, irrespective of her age or employment status, free from all forms of sexual harassment. Its objective is to prevent and protect women against workplace sexual harassment and to provide effective mechanism for redressal of complaints of sexual harassment.



Although POSH has been in force since 2014, awareness regarding consequences of sexual harassment and its redressal against the same continues to be limited. Many are not even fully aware of the criminal consequences of sexual harassment & its social impact. Also, there is still need for clarity on certain aspects like what constitutes sexual harassment, obligations of an employer, remedies/ safeguards available to the victim, procedure of investigation, etc.


The objective of the webinar is to bring more awareness on the subject and to provide clarity on various contentious issues.
