2012 Hyundai Sonata Blown Engine Recall. Beware of Hyundai USA's poor handling blown engine recall!

2012 Hyundai Sonata blown engine recall. This is my experience with my Sonata and dealing with my local Hyundai dealership and Hyundai USA. This is for all Hyundai car owns to be aware of the engine and transmission recall.

What it's about: What is Hyundai doing about engine recall?
Hyundai has issued a recall for 128,948 vehicles over defective connecting-rod bearings that can wear out prematurely and damage the engine. The recall covers the 2012 Santa Fe, the 2011–2013 and 2016 Sonata Hybrid, and the 2015–2016 Veloster.

If your vehicle's VIN number is listed under the recall, Hyundai is obligated to do the necessary repairs on your vehicle with no charge to the owner.

Unfortunately my car is one of the vehicles affected by this recall. And after being made where of this by the dealership and that my car was on the recall list, I was told to bring it in for diagnostic as well as submitting documentation of Hyundai dealership oil changes. The dealership reassured me the engine would be replaced under the recall being that Hyundai was obligated. Oddly enough Hyundai USA refuse the claim because my engine was not completely blown it was only half the pins blown.

So I've decided to document my experience with Hyundai and how they handle my claim. Please share this widely with any friends, family or anyone you may know who owns a Hyundai vehicle and may not be aware of this. Thank for watching and I hope this helps the public in general.
