Hiking in Central Dalmatia || Part 6 || Promenade through the Canal of St. Anthony || Šibenik || 4K

On the last day of our hiking in central Dalmatia, we only had time for a short walk before lunch and returning to Zagreb. We decided that it would be a promenade through the Canal of St. Anthony, whose appearance fits nicely into the natural harmony of the protected area.
At the entrance to the Canal is the Renaissance fortress of St. Nicholas. It is the only Venetian military fort located exclusively on the sea. It was built in the 16th century, and in 2017 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The promenade is suitable for sightseeing, recreational jogging and cycling. It is about 4.5 km long and offers a wonderful experience of a panoramic view of the entire city and the Šibenik archipelago.
