Our Research and Development (R&D) team in Brunsbüttel represents a "Centre of Excellence" for specialty alumina, Ziegler, Guerbet alcohols and derivatives. Up to 200 000 samples per year are analysed in the analytics department, partly with highly automated laboratory robots, both for the control of the production plants and for the end product control.

A special highlight was the new Research, Development and Analytics center in October with the introduction of the fully automated laboratory robot system according to the latest standard as a replacement for the previous 16-year-old system.

What is special about these robots?

· About 40 000 analyses per year are possible
· Seven wet chemical analysis methods, excellent reproducibility of analysis results due to 100% automatization
· High reliability, fast processing of analysis due to two separate strands
· High work safety due to reduced chemical handling
· Automatic analysis results for production, loading and transport immediately after end of analysis
