DIY papercrete pot-2 molder technique

Описание к видео DIY papercrete pot-2 molder technique

Here we are going to demonstrate to you how we could mold this medium sized molder with a nice design, it measures 11" in diameter by 4 3/4" high, our ingredient ratio is based on a basin measuring 12" in dia. and 4.5" high, for the cement, it is basin full, for the sand, it is 1" below the basins top level, and for the pulped paper, it is 2" below, for its water we can use 1 and 1/2 basin, we just add later if we need to and we mix them together.

Step by step process:

1. Wipe inner part of the lower mold with oil and also the outer part of the upper molder
2. Pour the mixture into the lower mold about half of its capacity.
3. Put the upper molder inside of the lower molder with the mixture inside, push further down while maintaining it's center.
4. Put the first block of weight inside the upper mold so it could move down further.
5. Put the second block of weight on top of the first block, chech upper mold that it stays at the center always.
6. Push the weights slowly downward until you feel that it reaches the tip of the stick placed in the middle of the lower molder.
7 . Add more of the mixture into the mouth of the lower molder if needed. and also tap the sides of the lower mold to release trapped air within the mixture.
8. Let it dry for a day or two.
9. Remove the weights and the upper molder, scrape off excess mixture .
10. Allow it to dry for another day, remove the lower mold by turning it upside down and tap all sides to separate pot from the molder.
11. Apply skim coat to bubble holes of the pot, sandpaper to remove excess coat when dry. Wipe all supface of pot with a wet cloth.
12. Pot is ready for paint finish. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
