Israeli writer and journalist Yossi Melman has commended the pager attack from an operational intelligence point of view as “impressive” and “innovative”.

“It’s very significant in terms of signalling to Hezbollah Israel’s capabilities and how Israeli intelligence and Mossad managed to penetrate Hezbollah,” Mr Melman told Sky News host Gabriella Power.

“This is a very dangerous situation.”
