Happy new years!

Playing Darius CS again. Been busy the past few weeks and I was stuck on this stage for days and gave it up for a while.
I must've done the first zone over 15 times because the Brute Gluttons boss at the end kept getting the better of me, so I pretty much know it by heart as you can see.

It's funny how I thought Hungry/Heavy Gluttons were hard not too long ago, but that was before I ran into this guy, lol.
The boss' pattern is actually very simple, he only uses 4 attacks in the same sequence over and over, and a 5th attack rarely (didn't show up in this video though).

What makes this fight hard is because you have no Burst to counter his stuff, and because the entire screen is full of crap!
It's also quite a long fight, so it's easy for your concentration to slip the longer the fight drags on and then you'll take a lot of damage.
I took quite a few sloppy hits because of the above near the end, but it went down at last. HOORAY.

I bet that playing this improves and/or maintains my hand-eye coordination and reflexes in some way... probably makes other games that require such seem like easy mode compared to this after a while, heh.
It also gives you a chance to practice other things, such as spotting specific objects while having many distractions, and being able to cut out those distractions (such as your own attacks).
Doing so is probably good to prevent mental deterioration as well. Who said gaming is bad for you?

Also, the first boss is a total pushover. I wonder if there's any boss that dies faster than him using stock ships.
