Scientists from the ARC Training Centre for Future Crops Development visited the NSW DPIRD Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute.

Their research is shaping the future deployment of higher-value and climate resilient crops. Research that has been co-designed with industry includes targeting key traits to improve crop yield in harsh environments and aligning development of new technologies with community needs and values through the practice of responsible innovation.

The partnership with NSW DPIRD as part of the Centre gives opportunities for researchers to undertake field research, complete industry placements and undertake regional community engagement. Through various opportunities like this with partners, the Centre is training a new generation of research, industry and policy leaders to build new capabilities for Agriculture.
