June 25th is International Seafarers Day. This year, it is marked with special significance.

Seafarers around the world on more than 50,000 ships are delivering the world's good and yet most can't go home. For many they have been on-board for more than eight months.

Robert Lewis-Manning the President of the BC Chamber of Shipping pays tribute to the women and men whom we rarely meet and yet we owe so much to because they ensure we get the goods we need.
