In celebrating SelecTech’s 30th anniversary, we interview one of the founders, Tom Ricciardelli, about what makes SelecTech unique among other flooring companies. His response is below and in this short video:



We have to find our way that fits with our strengths, technical knowledge. Our team is knowledgeable about the unique technical characteristics of the niches we compete in. Take static control for example. You need to conduct static to ground testing. But you also need a flooring tile that's going to withstand the demands of flooring and be installable and be installable in your environment. And so you get all those unique characteristics coming together and our team is super knowledgeable across the board on that. We feel like we give customers really great advice. And that's we how we compete. We're not trying to sell them anything, we're trying to give them advice. And generally speaking, it means that they buy something from us. If they don't, that's fine too. We're just really trying to give them knowledge.
