With the new consumable Three of Coins that's available to buy for Xur, it literally allows you to farm year 2 exotic engrams for only 7 strange coins!

How to farm your exotics:

1) Use the Three of Coins before you start the mission
2) Kill the boss
3) Collect any engrams or drops
4) Leave the mission as soon as you've killed the boss and go to orbit before it says mission complete (So you respawn an the checkpoint)
5) Repeat!

I've found doing Eye of A Gate Lord the easiest mission to do it on as it take around 30 seconds to kill the boss.
This can also be done in a Fireteam so you can farm with your friends.

I'm not sure if Bungie are going to patch this but if you're lucky enough to have a spare Three of Coins this is defiantly worth doing!

I farmed about 30+ Three of coins and the exotics I got are:
Hawkmoon
Suros Regime
Invective
Hereafter
The Stag (Warlock Helmet)
The Impossible Machines x2 (Warlock Gauntlets)
Heart of the Praxic Fire (Warlock Chest Piece)
Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter Chest Piece)
