Dennis Rader is now a "prime suspect" in two unsolved murders, according to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma. The recent search of Rader's former property in Park City, Kansas yielded "items of interest" that may be linked to multiple missing persons and unsolved murders in Kansas and Missouri. Authorities aim to work with the FBI to match evidence to DNA of victims, with specific focus on a red blanket believed to have belonged to Shawna Beth Garber, a 22-year-old who was raped and strangled in 1990. Sheriff Eddie Virden visited Rader in prison, where Rader denied involvement in one particular disappearance but admitted to kidnapping fantasies. The sheriff's office insists that Rader is still not ruled out of ongoing investigations.
