Wood puzzle. How to free the ring.

I like the Eureka brain puzzles a lot. From my collection I like to show you two puzzles that are more or less the same. In this video I show you my solution to solve the puzzles.

Steps to solve the puzzle:
1. Slide the disk through the wooden slot. To have the marble on one side of the wooden slot.
2. Pull the ring all the way over the marble.
3. Slide the ring from the opposite side of the marble through the wooden slot.
4. Slide the disk back. The rope now goes through the ring. This is half way the solution.
5. Repeat step 1 to 4 to free the ring.

To free the ring you slide in step 5 the disk over the ring through the slot.
To repostion the ring you slide the disk under the ring though the slot.

In the most simple design of the puzzle one side of the rope is connected to the stand of the puzzle. So you have to solve the puzzle using one side of the string.

Practice practice practice. It takes some time to get to the Eureka moment you fully manage the puzzle.
