Dr. Mehmet Oz set to join Trump administration; to work with RFK Jr. on healthcare reforms

Popular TV doctor Mehmet Oz is President-elect Donald Trump’s choice for heading public health services. Dr. Oz will oversee the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services which oversees health insurance coverage for over 150 million Americans. The cardiothoracic surgeon is a big Trump supporter and had a failed bid for a Pennsylvania Senate seat in 2022. Dr. Oz has received backlash from the medical community over alleged misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also faced questioning by senators in 2014 over his claims and false advertising of supplements promoted on his show.
