Pada Varnam, Chalamela, composed by Mulaivittu Rangasami Nattuvanar, Raga Nattakurinji, Tala Aadi. This Pada Varnam is a popular choice of classical dancers and of well-known Indian classical music artists like T.M. Krishna. Evoking the Karuna and Bhakti Rasa of the beautiful Nattakuruni raga the artists B Gayathri(vocal), Akshay Sankarshana (vocal), Arun P J (whistle), Sathvik R Bharadwaj (Keyboard), Tejas Vishu Kedlaya (Mridangam), perform under the guidance of Mahesh Raghvan. The team brings its special touch to this traditional rendition of the Varnam through the inclusion of the Whistle and Keyboard artists, and variations to rhythmic gait or Natais in the Charanam.
