Mondrian Sugar Cookies: Turn Art Into a Delicious Treat!

Описание к видео Mondrian Sugar Cookies: Turn Art Into a Delicious Treat!

Join me in the kitchen as we blend art and baking to create Mondrian-inspired sugar cookies! In this video, we’re transforming Piet Mondrian’s iconic abstract designs into a sweet and colorful treat.

It’s our first time baking together, and I’m excited to show you how art concepts like primary colors, lines, and shapes can be deliciously brought to life.

Recipe Alterations: For this project, I’ve slightly altered the traditional sugar cookie recipe to achieve a perfectly balanced dough:
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp kosher sea salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
1 egg

Instructions: Bake these cookies at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. Once cooled, we'll decorate them using primary and white colored writing icing gels and a black food marker pen to replicate Mondrian's style.

Kitchen Tools Needed:
Hand or stand mixer
Mixing bowl
Measuring cups and spoons
Rubber spatulas
Parchment paper
Cookie sheet
