Targu Mureş is a welcoming city due to the cultural diversity represented mostly by Romanians and Hungarians. Tourists can visit monuments from the medieval, renaissance, baroque period, and especially from the "Art Nouveau" period. The emblem of the city can be found in the "Rose Square", next to the Culture Palace, the Teleki-Bolyai Library or the Medieval Fortress. The Zoo is also a tourist attraction, being the largest of its kind in the country, and for lovers of sun and water, "Weekend" is a must-see location.
