Climbing up a Mountain from it’s Base | Dangair Dhar (डंगैर धार) Trek (3400m)

#dangairdhaar Dangair Dhaar is a mountain situated near #sainrathi Sainrathi village in #pithoragarh Pithoragarh. This mountain ridge is the same which goes towards Thal Thok and Chufu Top. The altitude of this mountain is around 3400 m.

We started our trek from a bridge near Bala village in Munsyari block. Thre trek is about 12-13 kms from Sainrathi village. We pitch our camp on the snow at the top. Himalayan ranges like Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Hiramani, Dangthal, Sunanda Devi, Nanda Devi, Nanda Khat, Panwali Dwar, Maiketoli, Devtoli, Mrigthuni, Trisul and other smaller peaks like Chhipla Kedar, Khaliyatop were visible from this place.

This was adventurous trek for us. This route didn't have any trail after some distance and we had to go go through forest and climb ridges to reach the top.

🏔 #nandakot Nanda Kot: Nanda Kot is snow capped Himalayan peak lying in #nandadevi Nanda Devi parent range of Uttarakhand. The peak has an altitude of 6,861 meters (22,510 ft). It lies in the Kumaon Himalaya, just outside the ring of peaks enclosing the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, 15 kilometres (9 mi) southeast of Nanda Devi itself. The name Nanda Kot literally means "Nanda's Fortress" and refers to the abode of one of the sacred forms of the Hindu Goddess Parvati who in legend has made her sanctuary amongst the ring of lofty mountains in the region.
This mountain range is the origin of many rivers like Ramganga Eastern, Pindar River, Kafni River etc.
