Quake OST Cover - Quake Up (Quake Main Theme But It sounds like RATM)

I know, I know, sounds too much like RATM rather than Quack, but the truth is that I didn't have much to work on from the very beginning so here it is.

Just think of it for a second, Quake was released 25 years ago and I admit that at the time I enjoyed it but it didn't feel as good as DOOM. Years later I ran through the entire campaign (expansions included) in coop with my good buddy BlackJack4it, and oh boy, the fun that we had. Now I appreciate Quake way more than I did at the time. I mean, at the time I was really astonished and impressed by the look of the game with 3dfx, 3d models, freelook without perspective distortion and so on, but now I feel the gameplay is better than I perceived at the time. I guess I had to grind Quake 3 Arena before I could appreciate a fast bunnyhopping gameplay. Or maybe I'm just thinking about mixed memories, who knows?
What I know is that at the time I didn't even know there was a soundtrack, probably it was because there was a disconnected cable from my CD Drive (if you've been there you know what I mean). Imagine playing Quake without music. Same problem with Quake 2. Years later: youtube. However I always listened to Quake 2 music and only a few times I listened to Quake's main theme.

So, you might think this is my redemption for not appreciating Quake and its music enough? Nah, it's just me doing whatever I want as usual, as I had lots of fun doing this mock up of Wake up (...). I've used the closest gear that I had to what Tom Morello used to record it: a Telecaster straight through a Marshall Amplifier and a Digitech Whammy pedal for the weird solo.

Now, the question is... Am I really the only one that thought of bringing these two pieces of music together?
