Altering a Straw Hat Tutorial / For Historical Costumes

Описание к видео Altering a Straw Hat Tutorial / For Historical Costumes

Not sure how many people this will interest, but it was a fun video to make! This is a cheap and easy way to turn a modern straw hat into something more suitable for 18th century costume. And these methods could be used to alter straw hats for a bunch of different periods.

Materials used:

16” Straw hat from Michaels
The flowers are all from Michaels too
9-12” ostrich feather from Jo-anns

The lining fabric is part of an ikea curtain, and the bow fabric is from fashionfabricsclub!

Music is “ Fantasia after J.S. Bach, BV 253” performed by Stefano Ligoratti and originally written by Ferruccio Busoni. It was acquired through Musopen and does not belong to me!
