Wasn't France our friend?
They helped us win the revolution,
But since Jay's Treaty,
They've grew so angry,
Seizing our ships so I sent ambassadors to Paris,

But I'm never trusting France again
'Cause XYZ tried to extort me,
They demanded 10 million,
Tried to play us like a fool,
Another quarter mil to talk to Talleyrand,
They told Pinckney, Marshall, and Gerry,
So I'm never trusting France again 'cause what they did's not cool!

This was their last chance,
To save the Franco-American bromance,
But their crooked style,
Has made them reviled,
At least Jefferson looks stupid for being a Francophile,

I'll make peace with Napoleon,
But make it harder for the French aliens,
We could have stayed friends in liberty,
Why did they have to get greedy?
