Aadum azhagai paradi is sung in praise of the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva, residing in Chidambaram. His lovely consort, the doe-eyed Goddess Parvati looks on while the celestials are mesmerized by His dance.

The beauty of the piece lies in the celebration of the virtuosity of Shiva's dancing by beautiful descriptions of the movements of His hands and feet as he dances with captivating glances, in abandon and in rhythm to pure verses of the classical Tamil language.
