I began smelling fuel outside my Q7, turns out it had a leak from the top of the tank. That leak was actually cracks forming in the fuel system at the top of the tank. It is a part prone to age cracking and failure. Good news is it can be replaced and the leak is gone. As for special tools a set of Triple Square Sockets is used to get the seats out.
