Welcome back to Scripture & Stretch with Coco! 🕊️
In today’s 7-minute session, we are slowing down to meditate on a beautiful tension found in the character of God: His unsearchable Greatness (Majesty) and His tender, daily Mercy.
It is easy to feel small when we look at the size of the world, or overwhelmed when we look at our own mistakes. But the Gospel reminds us that the same God who named the stars is the same God who heals the brokenhearted. He is big enough to rule the universe, yet close enough to hold your hand.
✨ ABOUT THIS ROUTINE This flow is designed to reflect the theme physically:
Expansion: We use wide, open movements (like Star Pose) to reflect the vastness of God’s glory.
Surrender: We use forward folds and grounding postures to reflect our need for His mercy.
Level: All Levels / Beginner Friendly
Equipment: None (Mat recommended)
Take these seven minutes to breathe deeply, release tension, and rest in the knowledge that you are held by a majestic and merciful King.
📖 SCRIPTURE REFERENCES I encourage you to open your Bible and meditate on these passages throughout your week:
Psalm 147:3-5 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."
Psalm 8:3-4 "When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?"
Psalm 57:10 "For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies."
Psalm 103:11-12 "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Lamentations 3:22-23 "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Ephesians 2:4-5 "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved."
🙏 PRAYER FOR TODAY "God, You are unimaginably great, yet You are unbelievably kind. Thank You that Your power defends us, and Your mercy covers us. When I feel small, remind me of Your care. When I feel heavy, remind me of Your grace. As I rise from this mat, help me walk confidently in Your great love. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
