On The Buses ran for seven series on ITV from 1969 to 1973. The sitcom was one of ITV's biggest situation comedy hits and spawned three massively successful films - On The Buses (1971), Mutiny On The Buses (1972) and Holiday On The Buses (1973).

On The Buses starred Reg Varney, Bob Grant, Stephen Lewis, Doris Hare, Michael Robins and Anna Karen.

Comedy Classics was a six part documentary series broadcast on ITV in 2008 taking a look behind the scenes of some of the channel's hit sitcoms from over the years. It was ITV's equivalent to BBC One's Comedy Connections.
