This is something we hear a lot from our clients - that picking up the phone to make that first call is one of the hardest things to do. Some people feel embarrassed about debt. Others hate making phonecalls, have the fear of being misunderstood or not knowing the answer to a question. Perhaps they’re afraid they have too much debt to get under control or they convince themselves the debt is too small to bother a charity with.
