Many African parents educate their children on money from Agriculture only to have few of these children study Agriculture, leaving grains in fields to the birds & a song from a village boy usually sang to scare the birds away... 'Awele' is a bird famous for destroying sorghum; the sound of its name means a visitor in Luo...this song undresses visitor programs that come to get our people off our 'Backborn' programs to include fishing. Often times the visitor has armed us with knowledge which can not be applicable to our situation as Africans: in this song, much is to call us back to the roots!
