[Hudson-Bergen Light Rail] HBLR trains in Jersey City and on the Conrail River Line (July 2023)

Описание к видео [Hudson-Bergen Light Rail] HBLR trains in Jersey City and on the Conrail River Line (July 2023)

The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail is a light rail system in Hudson County, New Jersey, across the Hudson River from New York City. Contrary to its name, it doesn't go to Bergen County. Yet. It does go to North Bergen, which is actually south of Bergen County, but that doesn't really count, does it...

The HBLR primarily makes use of former railway rights of way, including for its tunneled section. Bergenline Avenue is one of the few stations that requires elevators to reach platform level. Within Jersey City it has a very curvy alignment full of sharp 90 degree turns, and is generally slow, but there are still strategic grade separations (albeit still slow).

There are two core services that operate, and another on weekdays only (the single unit Tonnelle Av-Hoboken service).
