Walking in Hook Norton

There's nothing quite like a village with its own brewery and Hook Norton is one of the most notable breweries around. With it's signature brews, Hooky, Old Hooky and Off the Hook being available far and wide. So, not being quite the teetotaller that my doctor would like me to be, it is hard to resist the call of Hook Norton.

That the village itself is recorded as having existed, as Hocneratun, as early as 917 is neither here nor there. It's a pleasant village to have a little wander. Like a number of larger villages (and a few smaller) there's a mixture of the old and the new.

It is, however, the brewery that ensures that the place will always have a steady stream of visitors. They have tours, horse and cart deliveries, a very nicely stocked shop and a restaurant that serves a range of foods as well as a selection of Hook Norton ales, lagers and ciders.
