and Welcome to a Gudhi Padwa Secial Jalebi Recipe Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
It was a day before Gudhi Padwa a festival in Maharashtra which is celebrated to welcome the Marathi new year. Gudhi Padva is the beginning of Marathi months "Chaitra".
Pooja was cutting Pomelo/Papanas before lunch. We both had it and Pooja reminded me to bring the groceries from the market that evening.
She then prepared "Sakharechya Gathi" to be used on the Gudhi Padva next day. Later in the evening Pooja made the dough for the Jalebi and kept it for fermentation overnight.
Jalebi recipe looks easy but it is very difficult in terms of small details like measurement, fermentation, frying pan etc.
Next day We performed the Puja for Gudhi Padva then Pooja started Preparing the jalebi, once it was ready Pooja decorated the jalebi with Silver foil and Pistachio. We dedicate this jalebi recipe to our viewers and wish you a Happy Gudhi Padwa and Marathi New Year.
