3 Dual Reverb & Delay Pedals (Keeley, Earthquaker, Wampler)

A thorough comparison (although not thorough enough, it turned out!) of three of the most popular Reverb / Delay combo pedals on the market at the moment.

A tape style delay (Keeley's Mag Echo) with optional Light or Deep modulation, and a three variation reverb: Shimmer (Hall with blendable octave up), Spring (classic Fender Princeton reverb with adjustable rate tremolo), and Modulated (Plate reverb with adjustable rate modulation).

Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master

Digital reverb and delay with up to 1.5s delay time

Wampler Ethereal

Spacious reverb and delay with optional second delay line providing additional triplets, dotted eighths or feedbacking dotted eighths, similar to a multi-head tape delay or the Binson Echorec.

So which did I like best? I touch on it at the end of the video. But probably the Wampler. It's 'engine' seems to have more interesting results.

The Caverns is an extraordinary piece of kit - SO MANY OPTIONS - but it's almost a bit overwhelming because of it. The ability to stomp either Delay or Reverb on and off is a real bonus though, compared to the other two.

I know a lot of people LOVE the Dispatch Master and it does feel like a pedal that could easily take a permanent place on a board, almost as an 'always on' pedal at the end of the chain if you want an ambient sound. It's delays and reverb are super clean, simple and will compliment any arrangement of pedals and sounds, but for me that made it a little less interesting.
