पुलिस स्टेशन में रिपोर्टिंग करते समय अकसर पत्रकारों को पुलिस धमकाती है। कहती है– यहाँ रिकॉर्डिंग नहीं कर सकते, ये अपराध है। लेकिन कोर्ट ने साफ़ कहा है कि थाने को ‘गुप्त जगह’ नहीं माना जा सकता। यानी रिपोर्टिंग और रिकॉर्डिंग पूरी तरह अपराध नहीं है।
मैं आपको दो बड़े केस के साथ बताने का प्रयास करुँगी कि पुलिस स्टेशन में रिकोर्डिंग अपराध नहीं है, बल्कि इन दोनों केस में बोम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने क्या गाइड लाइन दी हैं- कैसे मामले में पुलिस कि fir क्वेश की - जानेंगे।


While reporting in the police station, the police often threatens the journalists. They say – recording cannot be done here, it is a crime. But the court has clearly said that the police station cannot be considered a 'secret place'. That is, reporting and recording is not a crime completely.
I will try to tell you with two big cases that recording in the police station is not a crime, but what guidelines have been given by the Bombay High Court in both these cases - how the police FIR was questioned in the case - we will know.
First case - Ravindra Shitalrao Upadyay v. State of Maharashtra Nagpur Bench (26 July 2022, Bombay High Court)
• In this case, the accused was accused of recording video from mobile inside the police station. Petitioner Ravindra Upadhyay was having a dispute with a resident of his own area regarding agricultural land. Both were called to the police station and Ravindra Upadhyay made the recording
• The police imposed Section 3 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 on him. • But the High Court clearly said
