Visiting Temples and Shrines in Kyoto | Japan Travel Vlog

Hello everyone!

Welcome to another vlog! We're finally here! After months of planning we made it to the city of Kyoto. This city has exceptional historic value and it is home to some of the top tourist attractions and vistas of Japan and the world 😳
This vlog is just our first two days here, where we spend our time touring some of the most beautiful temples we've ever seen .
On day 1, join us as we explore eastern Kyoto. Starting with Ginkaku-ji Temple, also known as the silver pavilion. We later take a peaceful stroll through the Philosopher's path as we make our way to our next sightseeing spot: Nanzenji Temple.
After a quick visit to Heian Shrine and its famous and showy torii gate, 🇯🇵 we grab a quick ramen lunch and coffee☕️ !
Our afternoon was magical as we visited the very recognizable and popular Higashiyama district with its Yasaka Pagoda views ☀️ , and last but definitely not least: Kiyomizudera Temple
Day 2 is a more relaxed day, we start with Ginkaku-ji's older brother temple: Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion. This temple, unlike Ginkakuji, is covered in gold leaf. After that we take a stroll through a rainy Kyoto to Toji-in temple, a total hidden gem 💎 in this city! If you're looking for peaceful temple vibes ✨ withouth the crowds, this is the temple to visit. Afterwards we visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site place: Ryoanji Rock Garden and we finish the day in Ninna-ji Temple!
Kyoto definitely is one of our favourite cities as it is filled with tradition, history and iconic views!
