Come with me on-site as I revisit a civil engineering project right here on Georgia Avenue, D.C.

In this video, I walk you through the current state of the construction site — from the front lot to the back, highlighting the design elements we worked on, including the survey, permeable pavers, area ways, meter stacks, and more. I also share behind-the-scenes insights into the original survey (done back in 2020–2021), the project’s approval process, design challenges, and unique site considerations like stormwater management, DC Water approvals, and tree impacts. 🌳

This project has had its ups and downs, including financial hurdles and delays, but it’s still an amazing case study of affordable housing development in D.C. I’ll also be showing the actual design plans and explaining how our civil engineering work connects with the architecture.
