This Craniosynostosis lecture is part of our series for medical students. Dr Martin Piazza and Dr Randi Barnett cover what craniosynostosis is as well as how it is treated.

You can expect a discussion of Sagittal synostosis, Metopic synostosis, Coronal synostosis, Lambdoid synostosis, positional plagiocephaly. They also discuss common syndromes related to craniosynostosis like Crouzon syndrome, Apert syndrome, Pfeiffer syndrome.

After this they discuss neurosurgical repair via endoscopic techniques or open cranial vault reconstruction (CVR).
