Lola and the other vulnerable pups must take their first faltering steps amid chaos and lumbering blubber. She survives the mayhem and makes it to the colony creche - where she learns how to swim, how to defend herself, and how to keep cool on a hot beach. But Lola must also contend with another threat that few of her kind face. Here, the resident orcas have learned how to body surf the breakers and snatch baby sea lions right off the beach.
