NexusForum2024 Summit | Presentation: IPCEI-CIS

With €1.2 billion in public funding, plus an additional €1.4 billion in private investments, the new IPCEI on Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure & Services (IPCEI-CIS) is called to become the largest open source project in the history of the European Union. This unique initiative is going to create a common cloud and edge infrastructure for Europe based on the principles of openness, interoperability, security, sustainability, and vendor neutrality. Near 100 industrial partners, with the direct support of twelve EU member states, are participating in this Important Project of Common European Interest in close cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT).
