SACHAL NEWS - In Sanghar, private TV channel reporter Khawar Hussain, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances, was laid to rest. His father expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the government, administration, and law enforcement agencies, saying that “God willing, the truth will soon come out.”
On Saturday, Khawar’s body was found inside a parked car outside Mirchi 360 Restaurant on Hyderabad Road, Sanghar. Upon receiving the report, the Sindh Government took immediate notice and ordered a complete and transparent investigation. Police collected all evidence and shifted the body to the hospital for legal formalities.
The following day, on the directions of the Sindh Home Minister, the IG Sindh formed a special investigation team. Even before the recommendations of the medical board, Khawar’s body had already been autopsied.
Khawar’s parents and two brothers, who live in the USA, arrived in Karachi on Monday morning. Speaking to the media, they rejected claims of suicide, stating that Khawar was a courageous man and could never take his own life. They demanded an impartial and transparent investigation. Acting on this, the police team recommended forming a medical board, which the government approved.
The government-formed medical board then decided to conduct a second post-mortem. After receiving permission from the family, Khawar’s body was shifted to Hyderabad Civil Hospital, where the second autopsy was carried out.
Earlier, the police’s special investigation team briefed the media at the SSP Sanghar office, assuring that every detail — apart from domestic matters — would be made public. They also revealed that an important eyewitness had been found who could provide crucial information.
After the second post-mortem in Hyderabad, Khawar’s body was brought back to Sanghar, where his family, relatives, friends, and locals were given a chance for a final farewell at his ancestral home. Later, the funeral prayers were offered at Eidgah Ground after Asr prayer, with a large number of people in attendance. Khawar Hussain was then laid to rest in the local graveyard.
