What is Promissory Estoppel? [No. 86]

Описание к видео What is Promissory Estoppel? [No. 86]

Sometimes people engage in casual contractual relationships that may not be technically enforceable by law. Professor Seth Oranburg explains that equitable contracts, such as promissory estoppel, can allow someone to recover what they are owed even in the absence of a formal contract.

Seth Oranburg is Associate Professor of Law at Duquesne University School of Law.

As always, the Federalist Society takes no position on particular legal or public policy issues; all expressions of opinion are those of the speaker.
