ICN2 researchers will use the new Molecular Beam Epitaxy deposition equipment to create topological insulators, among other materials, and to study their properties when submitted to different conditions. These materials have some characteristics that make them very interesting in fields such as spintronics. Moreover, the use of the MBE at ICN2 will allow the collaboration between different research groups of the ICN2 thanks to the new Severo Ochoa positions.
