STORYLINE
TOURISM BOOM SET FOR ANGLESEY THANKS TO ROYAL ENGAGEMENT
Expectations of a boom in tourism on the remote British island of Anglesey have soared since the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 16 November.
William and Kate share a home on the Welsh island, and are expected to continue living there in the first years of their marriage.
The Prince works as a helicopter pilot at a military base on the island, known as Ynys Mon in Welsh.
The high profile residents are likely to increase the numbers of visitors, as people travel from around the world to attempt to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.
It was recently announced that the wedding will be held on Friday 29 April 2011 in London's Westminster Abbey.
Separated from the mountainous northwest of Wales by a narrow strip of water, Anglesey is a beautiful and peaceful corner of the British Isles.
