On this episode of 2 Women Sailing, we're taking a bumpy trip down the New Jersey coast. If you want to watch some straight up sailing, this is the video!

We leave Sandy Hook, NJ in the dark and as the sun rises, choppy seas are revealed. We have a very active day at sea with swells reaching up to 8ft tall. We also show you how we use our preventer and how we do a controlled jibe.

After one evening in Atlantic City, Vanessa repairs the sail with fishing line. Yep, you heard that right. After that, it's 40 more miles down the coast to the busy anchorage in Cape May, NJ.

Our last leg takes us through the Cape May Canal, sailing following seas up Delaware Bay, through the C&D Canal and into our favorite anchorage at Bohemia River, MD.

We hope you enjoy this leg of our journey!

We’re Vanessa and Sara and we’re taking a journey up the east coast of the United States on our Pearson 385 sailboat, Good Stories.

Join us as we sail to various ports of call, show you our DIY boat projects and teach you a little bit about sailing. You’ll enjoy the cruising life with us as we drop the hook in anchorages and tie up at marinas. Best of all, you’ll get to come aboard with Whip the Adventure Cat, our cuddly and charming Russian blue.
