The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are renowned for their academic excellence and are considered some of the most prestigious engineering institutions in India and globally. However, beneath their glossy reputation, there exists a darker reality that often goes unnoticed.

IIT entrance exams are notoriously competitive, with a small acceptance rate. The pressure to perform exceptionally well academically takes a toll on the mental health of IIT students. Many struggle with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, and some have even tragically taken their own lives due to the immense stress.

The fear of failing to meet the high expectations placed on IIT students can be overwhelming. This fear of failure can lead to a sense of hopelessness and despair, which may contribute to suicidal thoughts.

In this episode of Limitless Podcast, I have Tharun Naik with me! Tharun recently graduated from IIT Kharagpur and in this span, he has had an eccentric life both in and out of college! He shares his journey of becoming a YouTuber while being an IITian, managing studies and YouTube together, his favorite memories from college life and much more!
