So earlier this year I rediscovered a fan crossover series I was into years ago called "My Little Portal", and something came over me when a certain scene hit: the one where ol' Dashie wakes up in front of a mirror as...something else. What is this world in front of me
cold as the vacuum of space
My heart seems intact
but only distracts from this
endless blinding hate

I see more machine than mare
in this mechanical facade
push back the tears
swallow my fears that I've become a fraud

Trapped like a rat in this maze

These foreign terms cascade along
Colors fade
Does the world seem more gray?

Under this artificial husk
I've lost count of the hours passed
Silent screaming on deaf ears
Agony is all I have
An example to test their wrath

By your command, engaging target
