RDS LEVEL III RETENTION DUTY HOLSTER

For operators who want secure retention and need to protect their firearm’s red dot optics, we’ve engineered the Safariland® Model 6365 RDS ALS® SLS Low-Ride, Level III Retention™ holster. Built on the foundation of the Model 6365 holster, the 6365 RDS fits firearms mounted with red dot sights. The holster not only protects the RDS housing from breakage, it stops debris and water from accessing the red dot cavity and keeps the RDS glass clean. Otherwise, if debris and water settles on the RDS glass, the operator’s view of their red dot sight is impeded.

While on patrol, officers experience an additional measure of safety with the 6365 RDS duty holster’s ALS/SLS Level III Retention. The SLS rotating hood closure allows for a smoother, single-motion draw, and greater protection against attempted firearm takeaways. Operators simply depress the hood and push forward to release. The ALS system automatically secures the firearm once holstered, until the lock is released with the thumb, and the firearm can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting needed. An additional level of protection is provided by the Hood Guard, an external shield over the thumb lever, which covers the release mechanism.
