this isn't necessarily a "fix it" type of thing. just wanted to mess around with the quotes from the books and piece them together with the footage we have from shadow and bone. Not too happy with how it came out, so I think I will either delete this or work on it some more and upload it again some other time. this also was supposed to be short and sweet edit, but it turned out longer than I had wanted it to be :P

I went back and began rereading the books to see that, if they were to adapt six of crows, things would remain mostly the same. And I can say that I am honestly not too worried about it. I understand why they put kanej's "stay in ketterdam" scene at the end of the season, because if the show were to follow closely to the books, they would need to create a rift between kaz and inej. Their relationship had developed over these past two seasons, but at the beginning of the six of crows duology, they have not had any development yet. So putting that kanej scene was a way to set them back a few steps. And I honestly think that the kanej scenes in the first book are going to be way more angsty because that conversation will be like a pink elephant in the room. It'll be the reason why Kaz will try to push her away more, and why Inej will become more cautious around Kaz like how she was in the books.

As for other scenes that were adapted from the books. I don't really want to consider them full adaptations because in the show it seems like those scenes are actually setups for the scenes to come. The writers have left room for themselves to fully adapt these scenes, or to expand on them, to make them grander. For instance, Kaz helping Inej with her wound. It's not THE bathroom scene, but it is set up for it. The confrontational scene with Kaz and Pekka, which was actually one of the last plot points at the end of crooked kingdom. In this adaptation, it seems like the first step in their feud, rather than the last. And the fact that Pekka's in Hellgate, there's a possibility that he will call the shots while he's in there, which will make for a bigger shock to the crows when they get ambushed and find out that Pekka was behind it. For Kaz to get his revenge, it's gonna take more than just throwing Pekka in Hellgate.

I really do hope we get a spinoff of Six of Crows. I feel like it still has a lot of great potential.
