The song "Seu Ziona Nes va'Degel", from the early Zionist songs, was written in the wake of the Zionist congresses and was one of the songs that accompanied the Zionist movement in its infancy. The song includes six stanzas calling on the Jews of the Diaspora to unite and immigrate to Eretz Israel.
The lyricist, Noah Rosenblum, worked in newspaper systems and wrote hymns.
The composer of the song, Noah Zlodkowski, served as a cantor in a synagogue in the Polish city of Kalisz and is considered one of the most important cantors and composers who grew up in Polish Jewry.
In 1902, Avraham Moshe Lunz (1918-1854), a scholar of Eretz Israel and a publisher, published the first Hebrew song, "Violin of Zion". It contained fifty Zionist and national songs, including the song "Shao Ziona Ness and Degel", under the name "Ness Ziona".
During World War I, Luntz was summoned for questioning by the Turkish authorities for national incitement to rebellion. To the heritage of Hebrew song).

The song, which is performed here by the IDF Choir and the IDF Orchestra, was printed in 2011 on the CD "Shao Ziona Ness VeDegel - Songs of Pre-State", produced by the Association for the Heritage of Hebrew Singing.
