Morocco-born, UK-based electronic artist Yescene returns this summer with long-awaited EP ‘Lost and Found’, a collaboration project featuring the vocals of Noé Solange. The forthcoming EP is the follow-up to Yescene’s recent deep house single ‘Chains’.
Recorded in London in the second half of 2019, the 4-track EP explores melancholic and dreamy melodies while keeping a chill, danceable vibe. Stepping outside the boundaries of his usual piano-driven house music productions, Yescene explores softer, slower rhythms and experimental sounds, with Noé’s soothing vocals providing an uplifting topline on each track.
“The songs in this EP all touch upon the notion of ‘being lost’, but not with the usual negative connotation—rather, with the side effect of being open to something new. With the exception of ‘To The Unknown’ where we had a rough draft, the other songs were all created by walking into the studio with no idea what we could come up with—a mix of collaboration and improvisation.”
