In this video, we talk about Aramany's Maxillectomy classification, its use when designing an obturator and differents classes in detail.

Maxillectomy is a procedure where either a part or the entire maxilla is removed surgically. The defect which is created after this procedure has to be closed so that normal speech, mastication, and swallowing ability of the patient is restored.

Before maxillectomy is performed, the oral and maxillofacial surgeon plans of closing the defect which will be created after the procedure by a prosthesis called Obturator.
